We’re Counting Down to Red Rocks with Funk Cuts

In celebration of our 6/5/15 Red Rocks show with Lettuce, each member of the band is highlighting a song or artist that has significantly influenced him as a musician and “purveyor of FUNK.” Become The Motet’s “Purveyor of FunkCuts” and you’ll win a J2G LIve party bus for you and 20 friends to our 6/5/15 Red Rocks show with Lettuce. To be entered to win, share each week’s “FunkCut” on your socials and tag the friends you want to join you on the bus. We’ll select a winner at random on Tuesday, May 26th.

Check out what Garrett Sayer’s has to say about his Funk Cut “Knock Yourself Out” by Tower of Power here.

The Motet in NOLA – Jazz Fest After Parties

We’re headed to NOLA for the second weekend of Jazz Fest!  At The Maison on Saturday, May 2 for a full late-night show of original material. Then, at The Howlin’ Wolf on Sunday, May 3 – we’ll bring “Mixtape 1975” for a rare road appearance.

Don’t know about our cover set shows yet?  That’s because we RARELY bring them on the road. Started a decade ago in our home-state of Colorado as a Halloween tradition – we carefully curate an epic list of best covers from  – in this case, 1975.  1975 was a FUNKY year, folks. Check it out for yourself on SoundCloud and spread the love to your friends. See you at The Howlin’ Wolf!
